David (Drew) Diggins –President –Gas Process Engineering, Summit CNG Engineering, LLC
D avid (Drew) Diggins founded Summit CNG Engineering in February 2014 to continue offering the CNG industry custom engineering solutions to developing markets. The first project was to develop reliable Pressure Reduction equipment to safely and economically deliver CNG from a gas transport trailer to a customer’s application such as an oil well drilling rig, tile factory, micro turbine and hydroponics farming.
The technology provides automated pressure control from 3,600 PSI delivered from the Natural Gas Transports to the customers inlet pressures ranging from 150 PSI down to 5 – 10” of water column and at specified customers inlet temperatures ranging from 50 – 80 F.
Prior to founding Summit Drew most recently held the position of Vice President of Integrys Transportation Fuels, LLC, a subsidiary of Chicago-based Integrys Energy Group. Headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, Integrys Transportation Fuels has employees based in several states from California to New York and has office operations in Utah, Texas, Ohio and Wisconsin.
Drew was responsible for the daily activities associated with developing business opportunities and growing the company’s compressed natural gas (CNG) business, promoted as Trillium CNG™ It is the second-largest provider of CNG fueling services in the U.S., offering a one-stop shop for design, construction, operation and maintenance of CNG fueling facilities. Drew also acted as President of Pinnacle CNG, a legacy business unit acquired in the purchase of CNG business from Wagner and Brown Ltd, by Integrys. In that role, he assisted in transitioning Pinnacle into Integrys Transportation Fuels, the development of operational strategies and business plans, oversaw legacy customer billing, contract compliance, and customer service issues during the transition.
ENERGY
Before joining Integrys, Drew was Operations Manager of Pinnacle Company and Pinnacle CNG Systems Owned by Wagner and Brown Limited, an independent Oil & Gas Exploration and Producing Company. He worked with Pinnacle and its Parent company over a 29-year period. During his career in the Oil and Gas E&P industry Drew’s primary areas of responsibility have included leadership positions in field operations (international and domestic), Drilling prognosis for Joint operated properties, contract negotiations, Oil & Gas drilling and completion budgets, as well as profit and loss accountability for Joint Interest Oil and Gas properties, both operated and non-operated, and annual strategic Oil & Gas Reserve reporting. After returning from a multiyear international assignment Drew developed CNG compression technologies which lead to multiple patens and the creation of Pinnacle CNG Systems to market the new compression technologies. Drew led the company in the sale of CNG as motor fuel, as well as managed manufacturing of compressors and CNG fueling stations. In that role he was also responsible for the sale and installation of public and private CNG fueling stations in the US, encompassing five states as well as Germany and Finland.
He has experience in developing strategies for long-term capital expenditure initiatives, along with marketing plans for brand launches and product development. Drew has managed successful relationships with local and state government officials while supporting legislative and regulatory filings. His direct management experience spans several states domestically, and includes international service, working as an expatriate in Belize, CA for four years. Drew has played an integral role in acquisitions, both domestically and overseas, including post-acquisition business integration initiatives.
OTHER
Drew began his professional career with Pennzoil Off-Shore Marine Division. In the Pennzoil field engineer in training program he advanced to Off-Shore Production Platform Operator responsible for emergency production shut down procedures, manual overrides and manual production on an automated 6,000 BOPD and 50 MMCFPD deep sea production platform.

Drew’s former community service efforts include corporate leadership responsibilities with Air Life Line of Texas a charitable organization providing free air transportation for children and their families from rural locations to metropolitan medical treatment centers for continuing treatments. He is currently serving as the Operations Officer for the Commemorative Air Force and Air Power Heritage Museum helping the restoration and flying exhibitions of military aircraft.
EDUCATION / PERSONAL
Drew graduated with a degree in Agricultural Engineering from Texas A&M University in College Station Texas. He returned to Texas A&M shortly after graduating for post graduate studies in Petroleum Engineering and received a professional engineering license in Petroleum Engineering. Drew has published several papers related to gas compression of CNG as well as methanol production from unconventional feed stocks. Drew is a Commercial, Multi Engine, Instrument Pilot. He has lived for the last 30 years in Midland, TX, he owns and flies his own airplane, enjoys performing in air shows and salt water fly-fishing on the south Texas gulf coast.
